Video: Women in Green Take Action

(Israelnationalnews.com) A new video being distributed by the Women in
Green movement, headed by Yehudit Katsover and Nadia Matar, shows the
activities done by the group in response to the Arab takeover of
Jewish lands in Judea and Samaria. Link to the video at the end of the

As the video explains, the takeover by Arabs is made possible since
the Civil Administration, by its own admission, does not enforce the
law in the PA Arab sector. The Arabs take advantage of this fact to
take over Jewish lands.
“It began with a single greenhouse,” said journalist Haggai Huberman.
“And who would destroy a single greenhouse? It’s just one greenhouse.
Soon after that, another greenhouse was erected, and then another, and
then another. You can see that in the greenhouses there are also
permanent houses. They expanded the village and reached the road that
leads to the communities of Elkana, Shaarei Tikva, and Etz Ephraim,
and they are continuing their activity, with Palestinian Authority
funding. They are establishing facts on the ground.”
Huberman added that “they (the Arabs) are taking over while, on our
side, the Civil Administration, apparently on orders from above,
stands by helplessly…unfortunately, they’ve (the Arabs) adopted the
old Zionist method that says: ‘the place where the plow furrows, there
the border will be determined’ and the State of Israel, in its
indifference and its carelessness lets them carry this out.”
In light of this situation, the Women in Green decided to respond by
leading an initiative to plant trees between the communities in Gush
Etzion.
“We are doing the work to impel the Civil Administration, the army,
and everyone to guard our state lands,” said Yehudit Katsover.
“We planted hundreds of trees here,” added Nadia Matar, “and we will
guard these trees. We made a statement: If the government won’t guard
these lands, then it is our job to do so.”
The success of the project has led to Women in Green to decide to copy
the initiative to other areas as well.
“We have already planted several dozen dunams here, and we already
setting out in other directions to other hills that are also in
danger,” noted Katsover.
