Group of 20 Women Ascend the Temple Mount; Man Arrested for holding mini Torah scroll Jul 20th 2011, 09:33 This morning a group of 20 women plus children ascended to the Temple Mount, under very tight police escort. Before the ascent Rabbi Yehuda Glick who heads the “Temple Mount Heritage Foundation”  gave the women words of Torah and encouragement. He compared the extreme difficulties in founding the State of Israel with renewing Jewish sovereignty on the Temple Mount, just as the founding of the state was once seen as unrealistic, so to the re-establishment of Jewish sovereignty on the Temple Mount will also happen.  The group was organized by “Women for the Temple Mount”, the women are dedicated to teaching women how to properly prepare themselves in ritual cleanliness before entering the Mount and are very active in bringing women.  The police threatened to end the tour when the women began to sing Psalms and also demanded that participants stay with the group. A Jewish man was escorted off the Mount and arrested this morning for the crime of bringing a mini Torah scroll and trying to read from it on the Mount.   On their website.
