Prophecy Watch: 24th July 2011 : “The Grapes of Wrath and the Judgement of the Nations”
Dear The Watchmen from Israel. Joy and peace in Yahushua our Wonderful Redeemer,

John Steinbeck’s novel “The Grapes of Wrath” is one I will never forget reading as an adolescent. It was written about life during the great USA depression and famine of the 1930’s. The title “Grapes of Wrath” are indeed also a fitting description of the prophetic declaration’s ofJeremiah to the nations in the last days. In fact I would not be surprised if Steinbeck did not choose the title of his novel from what is written in Jeremiah 25:15. YHVH declares that He has a “controversy with the nations” and that in the last days before the messianic era, He will force the nations to drink from the “wine cup" of "this fury at my hand”.
Jeremiah 25:15-17
15 ¶ For thus saith YHVH God of Israel unto me; Take the wine cup of this fury at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.
16 And they shall drink, and be moved, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.
17 Then took I the cup at YHVH’s hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom YHVH had sent me:
It does not appear to be well recognized by many theologians today, that Jeremiah was also ordained by Abba YHVH to be a prophet tothe nations of the world in the last days. Much of Jeremiah’s last days prophetic proclamations to the nations, are now appearing to be coming to pass.
Jeremiah 1:5-10
5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
6 Then said I, Ah, Adon GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.
7 But YHVH said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.
8 Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith YHVH.
9 Then YHVH put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And YHVH said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.
10 See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.
In the New York Times report (see below : Drought Spreads Pain From Florida to Arizona") the current drought across 14 States in America is being described as having “its roots in 2010” which I believe is yet another significant biblical sign to prophecy watchers, given that from my understanding of the scriptures, the biblically prophesied global famine that will ultimately result in Abba YHVH’s great plan of redemption of His people back to Zion, began in the biblical year of Aviv 2010-2011. We are all called to "watch" events to clarify if our understanding and discernment of the times is indeed correct.
That there is now recognition by agriculturalists in the great grain basket of the USA, that this drought has its roots in 2010 may well be a confirming statement of my understanding that we are now in the second year of this great end time global famine that that will grow and scourge the nations for seven full years, and that it is indeed the sign of YHVH’s cup of judgment of the nations, as foretold by the prophet Jeremiah. It is only in the second year of crop failures that a civilization begins to waken themselves to the fact that there is a famine taking hold, since when the stores of grain from a wilted first year crop are seen to be not able to be replenished by a second year of crop failures, matters soon begin to accelerate as far as food demand outsripping supply. This is precisely the concerns now recently expressed by Dupont senior executives (see article below: Global Food Demand Outstripping Supply).
In Jeremiah 25: 15-38 we find that YHVH will send a “sword” among all the nations of the earth, where the English translation of the Hebrew word “chereb” is “sword” (strong’s 02717). This word “chereb” is intimately related to a family of Hebrew words (chareb, charab, and choreb) which all mean drought, devastation, parched, ruin, dried up, smite down.
Furthermore, the intimate relationship of “sword and famine” are together raised in the plain text of Jeremiah 14:15, to mark the time of Abba YHVH’s controversy and judgment of all false prophets in the last days.
Thus, while the word “chereb” in Jeremiah’s prophecy, at the plain text level, gives us the understanding of impending judgement of the nations by global war, the underlying sign/ cause/ root of such global war is to be found in global drought, national economic depression and ruin.
It is this global drought / economic devastation that is also the foundational prophetic narrative of the parable of Genesis 43-47, which gives the shadow type of the future redemption and restoration of the House of Jacob under Joseph, who is Yahushua Messiah, at the very same time that Joseph engineers a new economic world system of totalitarianism of all civilised peoples under Pharaoh. The parable implies that a time comes where, because of complete devastation of food supplies, all peoples ultimately voluntarily give up their own private property and freedoms, to accept personal slavery under Pharaoh on the provision that Pharoah will give them food and save their lives. We see this development echoed in the prophecies of Book of Revelation.
Revelation 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
From the Torah foundation, it is this prophetic sign of global drought and economic devastation which biblical prophecy calls us to “watch and pray” since it marks the the time of the gestation and birth of the people of Zion. It is in this period of time, which comes immediately after the completion of the years of the biblical exile of Israel for forgetting her marriage vows, that those of us who yearn for the birth of Zion are repentantly watching and praying for.
Indeed the earth is istelf groaning for the very manifestation of the sons of YHVH, and the earth istelf helps the woman by opening its mouth - famine, climate and geological devastations - the earth plays its part to help the woman (Rev 12) while she is in the time of her delivery. This time is also the time when Abba YHVH rtakes up His controversy with the nations”over His land, His people, and His declared Word.
Jeremiah 25:31 A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for YHVH hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith YHVH.
At the conclusion of this time, when YHVH will have resolved His “controversy with the nations”, (which I understand occurs during this sabbatical set of seven years), from the narrative of the Torah, Abba will conclude with the commandment to Pharaoh to “let my people go” resulting in the second great exodus of YHVH’s people from the four corners of the earth in full view of all the nations of the world.
Isaiah 11:12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
And He will gather us from the nations, one by one, and give us good shepherds…
Jeremiah 3: 14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith YHVH; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:
15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
Anyone who has read John Steinbeck’s “The Grapes of Wrath” will recall the resilience of the small virtuous communities who helped each other during those hard times, as well as the despair and destruction of those who had trusted in riches and their own abilities for their salvation. Steinbeck wrote of human nature in a time of great hardship. As such, Steinbeck’s narrative gives us some insights into the daily context of global distribution of “Goshen” communities through the nations when the whole world begins to experience a global cup of “the grapes of wrath”. Joseph (Yahushua) will be calling His people to righteous communities that will honour YHVH’s commandments under Joseph’s specific authority (Yahushua Messiah) in the days ahead, as we are yet an unborn nation a remnant that is currently scattered to the four corners of the earth. Under the authority of Yahushua (Joseph) lies our protection and the law (commandments) of YHVH will be the foundation of YHVH's blessing and prosperity to His people, as a light in the darkness.
Isaiah 42:16 And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.
Exodus 10: 22 And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:
23 They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.
Psalm 119:105 ¶ NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Isaiah 8: 20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
2 Peter 1:19 ¶ We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
From the biblical prophetic narrative of Genesis 43-47 – the process is clearly defined - we are first going to our communities of Goshen in the "wilderness of the peoples" in the nations, where we will all pass under the rod (Ezekiel 20:35), then to the Exodus from Egypt (the known world order) to renew our vows with our Husband, (Jeremiah 31:31-33), where we will receive our new "hearts of flesh" that will have His Word written in them. With our new heart under the renewed covenant, as a new nation, Abba will then bring us into His land of Zion.
Jeremiah 31: 31 Behold, the days come, saith YHVH, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith YHVH:
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith YHVH, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know YHVH: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith YHVH: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
35 ¶ Thus saith YHVH, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; YHVH of hosts is his name:
36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith YHVH, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.
…while we wait on YHVH to accomplish His promises to restore the remanant of jacob accroding to His promises to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, in the course of the coming days, no matter what the circumstances we find ourselves in, as we see the nations of the world begin to drink on YHVH’s “grapes of wrath” – always remember to look up – day or night – and when we still see the sun, the moon and the stars, no matter what else we may see around us – we can know with certainty that the promise of Abba to redeem His people is HIS sure word of prophesy, and is as certain as the very creation and existence of this earth itself! We must not permit the evil one to rob us of our faith, hope, love and joy in Yahushua Messiah as He is faithful to complete that work which he has begun!
Take care and be strong!
Looking to the birth of Zion and our coming King, Yahushua our good shepherd.
Rob

The truth is that food is getting tight all over the globe. Last summer an unprecedented heat wave caused Russia to put restrictions on the export of wheat. Some of the key agricultural areas of China, Pakistan, Brazil and Australia have experienced unprecedented flooding over the past 12 months. Natural disasters have hit U.S. crops hard in many states as well. Crop diseases such as UG99 wheat rust continue to spread. The world continues to lose topsoil at an alarming rate. Things simply do not look promising.
“In 32 years, I’ve never seen so many problems in so many places,” said Dan Basse, the president of AgResource Co., a farm researcher in Chicago. “We’re concerned about the world story now,”
“People are starting to recognize that food demand is outstripping supply,” said DuPont executive vice president Jim Borel.
Sources say Palestinians are more determined than ever to pursue recognition of an independent Palestinian state at the United Nations in September.
Yesterday’s witching hour of the European Union means that Germany has come very close to realising Bismarck’s dream of an economic empire stretching from central Europe to the Eastern Mediterranean.
History has seen many attempts to unify Europe, from the Habsburgs to the Bourbons and Napoleon. This attempt is likely to fail, too. Indeed, a paradox is at work here. The founders of the European Union were driven by a vision of a peaceful new world after a century of war. Yet nothing could have been more calculated to create civil disorder and national resistance than yesterday’s demented move to salvage the single currency.
Dalio believes that future inevitable money printing will "lead to a collapse in currencies and bond markets." Dalio is even kind enough to give a time frame. "I think late 2012 or early 2013 is going to be another very difficult period."
