Sergeant First Class Gilad Shalit was released today after more than five years in Hamas captivity. While holding Sgt. 1st Class Shalit in captivity, the Hamas terrorist organization denied repeated requests by the Red Cross in Gaza to monitor his condition and limited contact with him to only letters and video tapes.

The goods included 81 truckloads of clothing and footwear, 149 truckloads of electric products, 1,609 truckloads of food, 1,408 truckloads of construction materials and 155 truckloads of inputs for agriculture.
