The army is preparing for various scenarios, including extreme violence, despite estimations that Palestinian security forces will aim to keep tensions low. “Several IDF regiments will be joining units already in place, in case Palestinian rallies turn violent and prompt dangerous friction with Israeli forces and settlers. “Meanwhile, Israel Police officials are preparing for the possibility of Arab Israelis joining the protests and resorting to violence within the Green Line. Police officers fear that planned rallies and marches will turn into mass riots and will discuss the option of boosting police deployment over the weekend.   “As opposed to previous years, the Palestinians have been calling for civil disobedience both in the West Bank and outside Israel, in states sharing a border with the Jewish state. The trend got underway with the launch of a Facebook page urging the Palestinians to embark on a third Intifada on May 15.   “Elsewhere online, several groups are organizing with the aims of reaching Israel's borders. One such initiative is being organized by the Islamic Brotherhood in Egypt with university students expected to depart from Cairo Friday en route to the Gaza Strip border. “Tuesday evening, some 15,000 Arab Israelis took part in a 'Nakba Day rally in the western Galilee region. The event was attended by Arab Knesset members and senior Islamic Movement figures.  Speaking at the event, MK Ahmed Tibi said: "In 1948, ethnic cleansing was carried out through the destruction of 531 villages, the expulsion of hundreds of thousands, and the pulverizing of the Palestinian people.””   [Note: The very fact that Ahamed Tibi is a Knesset member proves his words are irresponsible hollow rhetoric - how many Jewish members of parliament in any Arab nation, supportive of the Jewish state are there today? Because it is actually the Arab nations who have ethnically cleansed the Jews from their midst and not the other way!] “Participants held up Palestinian flags and signs with anti-occupation slogans. Cities within Israel's Green Line, including Kfar Saba, and Petach Tikva (one of the first cities to be founded in Israel on land bought legally from Arabs), just north of Tel Aviv, were also declared as "occupied." The rally also endorsed the recent Hamas-Fatah unity deal.” BACKGROUND In 1951 the Foreign Policy Association of New York estimated that there were 60 million refugees in the free world. At that time, it represented 40 percent of America’s population, or one, and a half times as large as France’s population. Of this number of refugees, the Palestinians represented 1.25 percent, or 750 thousand.  Although the, so called, West Bank was under Jordanian rule then, the Arab nations were not willing to create a ‘Palestinian State’ and demanded the refugees’ return to their homes in Israel. They determined to use the refugees as a tool, or weapon against Israel with hopes of destroying the Jewish nation. The UN came forward with a 3 year plan to resettle the refugees in Arab lands. This was refused, for the reason mentioned above. Jewish Nakba At the end of WWII, the Jews had just come out of a horrible fiery furnace - the Holocaust. At the same time almost 1 million Jews, living in Arab countries, were forced to flee their homes.Jews were persecuted, interned and even executed. Some 100,000 square kilometers of Jewish-owned land was seized or abandoned, four times the size of Israel, hundreds of communities destroyed. Billions of dollars of assets were lost.  Israel absorbed all the Jews who fled from the Arab nations, and resettled them; it was a herculean effort.  WHERE IS ALL THIS GOING? It is clear today, that the Palestinians have not changed their goals, only their tactics. The Hamas-Fatah unity is clear proof that the Palestinian’s aim is to declare a state in September, and then continue to fight Israel’s existence together. By endorsing the Hamas-Fatah unity deal, Israeli Arabs have clearly taken the same side. Israel’s destruction is the goal, nothing less.  (For further proof of this, see Hamas Charter - link given below. You can further search the Internet and find out what the Palestinians are teaching their children about Israel, and what their leaders say in Arabic to their people about Israel. BOTTOM LINE Beyond all the issues, perceptions, propaganda and arguments there loom two bigger or more fundamental questions: Is Israel’s restoration today from the Lord? Does the Word of God speak about Israel restoration to the Land in the Last Days?   The answer to these questions is a resounding YES.  I believe Israel’s restoration is from God, and I whole heartedly believe that the Word of God (Old and New Testaments) clearly, emphatically, and repeatedly declares the restoration of the Jewish people, first to their land and then to the Lord Himself.  I can therefore pray whole heartedly for the Lord to fulfill His Word as it is written - to the utmost. I can pray this way because God’s will is both full of grace and love and is - just; no matter what it looks like or what it is made to look like by those who oppose it. Israel’s restoration is good for the whole world! Peace in the world, lasting and real peace, will only come in God’s way and in God’s will.  PRAY WITH US Lord, hasten and accelerate the fulfilling of your Word concerning Israel’s restoration in the Last Days. Bring back your people from exile, pour out your love, and grace, and mercy here in the land of Israel, restore your  people to yourself. Let salvation and the voice of joy ring in the land.  Pour out your spirit on the Palestinians, father. Visit them and reconcile them to you, to your Word and to the Jewish people.  Lord we glorify your name in the Earth,  reveal your mighty arm in blessing and grace, salvation, and the pouring out of your Spirit, on Israel, and on all flesh. Lord, subdue all powers and principalities who oppose your Word regarding Israel’s restoration, especially those who thirst for the shedding of blood, glory in violence, and who glorify death. Lord, subdue this move against your people and bring it to nought. Give great wisdom and understanding to our police and army - to know how to handle this effort and bring it to nothing.  Father magnify your name in all the Earth; that the world may know that you alone are God!   May the Lord inspire you by the Holy Spirit to pray and stand before Him in great wisdom, and insight into His Word and heart and may you be counted as one of those who stood before the Lord in the critical hour.
