	Trapped In Jerusalem! --Please help!- No, I'm not the one trapped in Jerusalem. The one trapped is a fellow Sephardic young man along with his little family. This is a classic case of a forgotten Sephardi that's fallen through the cracks of Israeli bureaucracy. His given name is Luden--his Hebrew name is Uriel. He's fluent in English and in Spanish with a Latino background. He's been a cop in America and has given lectures across the country on how to prepare against terrorism. He is married to an Israeli born young lady and together they have a precious two year old baby girl. He's been told by Israeli authorities that they can grant him "residency" but not citizenship. However, he insists on receiving citizenship as a Sephardic Anusim Jew.


	After doing his "due diligence," he submitted his application to make Aliyah to the Israeli authorities and was denied by Israel's Ministry of Interior with no specific reasons given. His case is now under an appeal before Israel's Supreme Court. Israeli authorities have denied him a WORK VISA and have threatened that if he leaves the country (in order to make a living), he might give the Ministry of Interior a handle to use against him during his appeal. Consequently, he and his family are stuck in the Holy City-unable to leave the country and unable to work. Meanwhile, neither congregation nor organization has opened up their bowels of mercy to lend him a hand. Independent of him telling me his story, God spoke to my heart about him. Simply put, God showed me how this young man represents the people of Sephardic Anusim. All too often well-intended people, including Christians, tend to forget these pioneers once they've moved to Israel. It's almost like a mother having a baby and turning it over to a foreign society to raise up. I believe I've heard of the Lord that the success of this case before Israel's Supreme Court could very well open up a door that will eventually flush open the flood gates that have held my people bondage in our Diasporas outside the land of our forefathers. I'm convinced that God can use this case as a special key to open up shut doors against my people.



	So will you join with me in fervent prayer for him? And will you tell me that YOU'LL HELP THIS FELLOW SEPHARDI AND HIS YOUNG FAMILY SO THAT GOD MIGHT OPEN UP DOORS FOR HIM AND THE REST OF MY PEOPLE?! The amount you give is not the point. What matters is that we catch the vision of what God's trying to show us. It does not matter whether you donate one dollar or on hundred or one thousand or more dollars. We must act wisely, prudently and swiftly! I'm asking you to just send me an email telling me you'll lend a hand with prayer but also with your donation. Remember, not one cent is designated to any other cause but to this young family.
