Saturday night-Sunday 19-20 May / 28 Iyar
Yahrzeit of Samuel the Prophet.
Today is Yom Yerushalayim ("Jerusalem Day") marking the reunification of the Holy City on 7 June 1967.
Monday 21 May / 29 Iyar
YOM KIPPUR KATAN
Today is observed as Yom Kippur Katan with optional
fasting from dawn till nightfall and penitential prayers for
self-purification in preparation for the coming month of Sivan, season
of the Giving of the Torah.
Rabbi Isaiah Horowitz, known as the Sh'LaH after the initial letters of the name of his magnum opus Shney Luchot Habris ("Two Tablets of the Covenant"), instituted the recital on Erev Rosh Chodesh Sivan of a special prayer to have children and children's children who go faithfully in the path of HaShem.
Monday night-Tuesday 21-22 May / 1 Sivan
Rosh Chodesh Sivan
Add Ya'aleh Veyavo in evening,
morning and afternoon prayers and in Grace after Meals. Following the
morning Shacharit prayer, "half" Hallel and the additional Musaf prayer
are recited. On Rosh Chodesh it is customary to eat a festive meal with
bread.
On this day the Children of Israel encamped before Mount Sinai in preparation for receiving the Torah.
Attributes of the month of Sivan: Ruling permutation of the letters of HAVAYAH: YOD VAV KEH KEH, contained in the initial Hebrew letters of Yedotav U-letzela Hamiskan Hasheinit
- "...for its tenons and for the second side of the tabernacle..."
(Exodus 26:19-20). The month's corresponding letter is: ZAYIN; Human attribute: MOTION; Body Part: LEFT FOOT; Tribe: ZEVULUN; Constellation: TE-OMIM (Gemini, the Twins).

Wednesday 23 May / 2 Sivan
On this day G-d invited the Children of Israel to be His treasured nation.
Thursday 24 May / 3 Sivan
Today is the first of the "three days of separation" (purification)
prior to the Giving of the Torah on the coming festival of Shavuot.
"During the three days of separation there is a radiation of that same
purity that shone in the days before the giving of the Torah" (Shevet HaLevy).
Friday 25 May / 4 Sivan
Since the festival of Shavuot follows immediately after Shabbat, it is
necessary to complete all preparations for the festival before the
beginning of Shabbat. It is customary to bedeck the synagogue with
flowers and greenery in commemoration of the Giving of the Torah, when
Mt Sinai burst forth in verdure, and to prepare milk and cheese dishes
for one or more of the festival meals.
Shabbat Friday night-Saturday 25-26 May / 5 Sivan
Torah reading: Israel & Diaspora: Bamidbar.
On Friday night after the Shabbat evening prayers, we count the 49th day of the Omer. The Shabbat Torah Reading is Numbers 1:1-4:20; Haftara: Hosea 2:1-22. After the Shabbat afternoon service we read the sixth chapter of Pirkey Avot.
The first ten days of Nissan correspond to the letter Yod of the holy name A-D-N-Y "our Lord"; the four days of checking the Paschal lamb from 11-14 Nissan correspond to the Dalet The fifty days from the first day of Pesach to the eve of Shavuot correspond to the Nun, and Shavuot itself corresponds to the Aleph, signifying our complete acceptance of the kingship of G-d through our service in this period.

Saturday night-Sunday 26-27 May / 6 Sivan
Festival of SHAVUOT, Season of Giving the Torah, First Day
For full information about the Festival of Shavuot click here.
It
is customary for those who can do so to remain awake studying Torah for
all or most of the night in preparation for receiving the Torah anew on
Shavuot. It is customary to eat a meal of milk and cheese on Shavuot
morning. Those who follow this with a meal of meat should take care to
observe all the laws relating to the separation of milk and meat
(reciting Birkhat HaMazon after the milk/cheese meal, rinsing/cleansing
the mouth, then eating the meat meal on a separate tablecloth).
Sunday night-Monday 27-28 May / 7 Sivan
Israel: Issru Chag On Issru Chag,
the day after the conclusion of the festival, it is customary to
continue wearing festive clothing and to eat a festive meal to allow the
Shavuot joy to linger with and strengthen us as we return to our
weekday lives.
Diaspora: Second day of Festival of Shavuot
Outside Israel today is celebrated as a full festival day and all melachot (labors) are forbidden except for those relating to the preparation of food.
Today is the Yahrzeit of King David and of R. Israel Baal Shem Tov (1698-1760, founder of Chassidism). In honor of King David some read the entire Book of Psalms today.
Monday night-Tuesday 28-29 May / 8 Sivan
Isru Chag (Diaspora)
On Issru Chag,
the day after the conclusion of the festival, it is customary to
continue wearing festive clothing and to eat a festive meal to allow the
Shavuot joy to linger with and strengthen us as we return to our
weekday lives.
Monday 28 May-Shabbat 2 June
The festival of Shavuot is followed by six days of "completion" (milu'im),
when people could still bring their festive offerings to the Temple.
These are days when the light of Shavuot continues to shine into our
lives, and the supplications of Tachanun are not recited in the daily prayers.

From the WatchMen of Israel:
Say Yes to Abba Yahweh and His Laws special in
this time when Abba Yahweh is 'testing' us:
Hab 1:12 Art thou not mikedem (‘everlasting’ also said of
Moshiach, indicating Moshiach’s eternal divine nature: see Michoh 5:1[2]; see
Dan 7:13-14; 3:12), Yahweh Elohai (my Elohim) Kedoshi (my Holy One)? We shall
not die. Yahweh, Thou hast appointed them for mishpat (ordinance); O Tzur, Thou
hast ordained them for reproof. (Please read the whole of chapter one from
HaNavi Habakuk)
Please take it serious what Abba Yahweh is telling us in:
Deu 18:15 Yahweh Eloheicha (your Elohim) will raise up unto thee a Navi
(prophet) from among thee, of thy achim (bretheren), kamoni (like me [Moshe, Ex
32:30]); unto him ye must listen;
Deu 18:16 According to all that thou
desired of Yahweh Eloheicha (your Elohimin) Chorev in the Yom HaKahal (day of
the gogregation), saying, Let me not hear again the voice of Yahweh Elohav
(your Elohim), neither let me see this eish hagedolah (‘great fire’) any more,
that I die not.
Deu 18:17 And Yahweh said unto me, They
have well-spoken that which they have spoken.
Deu 18:18 I will raise them up a Navi
(prophet) from among their achim (brethren), like unto thee, and will put My
words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him
[Yn 10:18].
Deu 18:19 And it shall come to pass,
that whosoever will not listen unto My words which he shall speak Bishmi (in My
Name), I will require it of him.
Joh 8:28 Therefore, Rebbe, Melech
HaMoshiach said to them, When you perform the hagbah (lifting up) of
the Ben HaAdam, you will have da'as (knowledge) that Ani Hu [YESHAYAH
41:4; SHEMOT 3:14-16], and from myself I do nothing, but as HaAv (the Father)
of me taught me, these things I speak.
