The new tenders are for construction of 6,000 new homes, 1,000 of which in the vicinity of Jerusalem. According to the Channel 10 report, 350 units will be built in the hareidi-religious city Beitar Illit, 500 units will be built in Jerusalem’s Har Homaneighborhood and an additional 180 residential units will be built in Givat Zeev.
The tenders come following a Cabinet decision in November to build 2,000 new housing units in Judea and Samaria, as part of sanctions imposed on the Palestinian Authority in response to its acceptance as a ‘full-member state’ to UNESCO. Read the rest on: Arutz7
