De Belgische politie heeft bij een huiszoeking bij een lid van de extremistische beweging Sharia4Belgium een kalasjnikov gevonden. Volgens de politie gaat het om een 'zeer ernstig feit'.

De huiszoeking in Deurne werd gedaan nadat het lid van Sharia4Belgium het wapen te koop had aangeboden op een website. De man zou het geld hebben willen verkopen omdat hij geldgebrek had.

Volgens de Belgische kranten verandert de Sharia4Belgium-beweging rond leider Abu Imran van een groep van extremistische gelovigen naar jihadistengroepering die actief terroristenorganisaties steunt.
