In this week’s 5 minute update, we focused on several things:
1) The current status of the Israel / PLO peace process
2) The possibility of war with Iran
3) The situation with Libya and the Middle East
Israel had welcome words for the US veto of a UN Security Council Resolution declaring Israel building in the West Bank and East Jerusalem as being ‘illegal’ under international law. In doing so, Netanyahu stated that he desired a solution with the PLO which entails a PLO state with meets the needs of Israel’s security. The Quartet (UN, US, EU and Russia) is seeking to meet separately with the PLO and Israel to restart peace talks bringing up all outstanding issues of the conflict. There is a Quartet meeting in mid-March.
An agreement to divide Jerusalem and establish a PLO state is a tribulation event.

Regarding Iran, two Iranian warships have crossed the Suez Canal for the first time since 1979. Israel newspaper is reporting that these ships are carrying missiles of different range, rifles, and ammunition for Hezbollah. This event increases the risk of instability in the region and possible war with Iran.
A US war with Iran is a tribulation event.

Regarding the situation in Libya, Obama has signed an executive order to freeze the assets of Gadhafi, his family, top officials within the government and the Libyan government itself. If sanctions become international, this could contribute to the further increase of oil prices as Libya exports over 1 million barrels of oil a day and is the #1 producer of oil in North Africa. This update contains a 32 minute update from Pastor Lindsey Williams who is now revealing that this unrest in the Middle East is wanted by the global elite and that it will result in $200 a barrel price for oil, the collapse of the US dollar and the creation of a global currency.

It is being reported that the dollars reign as the world’s primary reserve currency is coming to an end. The influence of the Chinese currency is on the rise as China aims to settle nationwide trade in its own currency by the end of 2011. This will put further pressure on the international status of the US Dollar.
A collapse of the US dollar and the establishment of one world currency is a tribulation event.

We will to be “watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem” and we will not rest until the God of Israel makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth (Isaiah 62).
