12-year-old student of the Otzar Hatorah school in Paris lightly injured after being attacked by anti-Semites.Eight days after four Jews were murdered in the Otzar Hatorah school in Toulouse, hatred-based violence has hit France again, this time in Paris.
Channel 2 News reported on Tuesday that a student from the Otzar Hatorah campus in the French capital was lightly injured in an attack by anti-Semites.
The report, which cited local authorities in Paris, said the 12-year-old boy fell victim to violence by a group of unknown assailants who ambushed him outside the school and called out anti-Semitic slurs.
The attackers were able to carry out their plan in spite of the increased security around Jewish schools and synagogues in France, following last week’s attack. Read the rest on: Atlas
Study: Most Anti-Semitism in France is Muslim
Most anti-Semitic attacks carried out in France over the past decade were perpetrated by Muslims, according to a report from the Organization for the Defense of Jewish Communities in France. The group reported 389 attacks on Jews in France in 2011.
Dr. Simcha Epstein, an anti-Semitism expert, spoke to Maariv and said the rise in Muslim attacks was new, and followed decades in which most attacks were perpetrated by members of the extreme right. Violence is particularly bad in schools, where Jewish students are often targeted and teachers are unable to exert control, he said. Source: Arutz7
