We also recommend the book by Pierre Van Paassen "The Forgotten Ally" which we republished a few years ago, along with a chapter from his other best selling book "The Days of our years" which describes eyewitness account of the aftermath of the Hebron Massacre, as well as the most fascinating portrayal and eyewitness testimony of the history of the years that led to the founding of Israel from 1929 till 1943. Pierre Van Paassen was one of the most prestigious journalists and writers in the 1920, 30's and 40s.
