President
Shimon Peres was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom on Wednesday
[June13] - the highest civilian award the United States government can
bestow upon an individual. In a gala dinner held in Washington in Peres'
honor, US President Barack Obama praised the Israeli president's legacy
and efforts on behalf of peace. (Read More) 2. Netanyahu: Iran and Hizbullah
Aiding Syrian Slaughter -
In his remarks at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting on Sunday
[June 11], Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu accused Iran and
its Lebanese proxy, the Hizbullah terrorist organization, of assisting
Bashar Al-Assad in the slaughter of his opponents. (Read More) 3. "Syria Has World's Largest Stock of Chemical Weapons" -
"Syria has the world's largest arsenal of chemical weapons, along with
rockets and missiles that can reach all of Israel. They also cooperate
with the terrorist organization Hizbullah and Iran," said Deputy Chief
of Staff Maj. Gen. Yair Naveh last night at an event marking 30 years

from Putin's Upcoming Visit -
The Palestinians are hoping for a boost to their diplomatic stature
when they host Russian President Vladimir Putin later this month. At a
time when the attempts to restart peace negotiations with the Israelis
have floundered as each side accuses the other of intransigence, the
Palestinians see Putin's visit as a solid message
of support. (Read More) 5. A Look at Israel's Mass Evacuation Plan - The
Ministerial Committee on Home Front Affairs is set to discuss a plan
for a mass evacuation in the event of a missile attack next week.
According to the plan, entire cities will be moved to southern Israel
around Eilat and the Arava area. (Read More) 6. Jihad: Rabbis Teach Racism to Israeli
Kids - A
top Islamic Jihad operative on Wednesday [June 13] accused Israeli
rabbis of teaching hatred and racist values to children, a statement
made in response to a recent report that Gaza kindergartens indoctrinate
students into becoming terrorists. "(Rabbis) treat Palestinian children
and women as if they were snakes and
bugs," Khader Habib, a leader of the Gaza group told Ynet. "They don't
see them as normal people." (Read More) 7. Yad Vashem Entrance Vandalized - The
entrance to the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem was vandalized
overnight. Museum workers discovered the damage upon arriving on the
premises Monday morning [June 11]. According to available details,
unknown vandals sprayed graffiti reading "Hitler, thanks for the
Holocaust" and "If Hitler didn't exist the Zionists would have had to
invent him" on one of

exhibit of a collection of ancient gold jewelry and artifacts. Most of
it has been tucked away in storerooms and never seen in public before,
not in Israel nor anywhere else in the world. The private collection is
called "Pure Gold" and fills the ground floor of the museum where its
400 pieces literally shimmer in their glass cases. (Read More) 10. Jerusalem Comes Alive with Light -
All this week,
Jerusalem has been teaming with thousands of visitors who have come to
the Old City to see the International Jerusalem Festival of Light. This
is the fourth year that this free extravaganza of light and sound has
