Iran Diplomat: P.A. Bid Meant to Destroy Israel

An Iranian official said the Palestinians' effort to achieve statehood at the United Nations is part of a bigger plan to destroy Israel.

     
Mojtaba Amani, Iran's ambassador to Egypt, said in an interview with Al-Watan al-Arabi  the push for U.N. membership is "a step towards wiping out" the Jewish state.

"But the Palestinians must follow a correct example and complete all the measures to prevent the Zionist entity from depriving them their rights," he added.
