Amid widespread unrest in the United Kingdom over the killing of a Black man in London, a senior Iranian lawmaker warns that Iran may shut down the British embassy in Tehran.
Iran's Majlis (parliament) will seriously pursue the issue of shutting down the UK embassy in Tehran in case the violent crackdown on British citizens continue, said Mahmoud Ahmadi Bighash, a member of the Majlis Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy.
He also called on Iran's Foreign Ministry on Tuesday to summon the British charge d'affaires in Tehran “as soon as possible” to offer explanations about the police shooting of Mark Duggan, Fars news agency reported. Read the rest on:
