Gaza crossings operate despite recent attacks


Passage of patients, goods and international reps via land crossings continued during attacks

Depite the more than 130 rockets and mortar shells that were fired at Israel since Thursday (August 18) by terrorists in the Gaza Strip, the Kerem Shalom and Erez land crossings between Israel and Gaza continued to operate.
The Erez crossing allows Palestinians who need medical treatment in Israel to pass through. On Sunday (August 21), over 60 patients and accompanying individuals crossed into Israel for medical treatment.
About 30 international organization workers crossed into Gaza from Israel as well, along  with goods from Israel.
Approximately 150 truckloads of goods, food products and fuel were delivered via the Kerem Shalom crossing from Israel into the Gaza Strip on Monday (August 22). International community representatives and journalists were granted passage as well. Read the rest on:
