McJobs: Fast food career the new American dream?

Three ongoing military campaigns that are costing the US a fortune give no comfort for the nearly 14 million unemployed Americans.
With food stamps and a minimum wage the only hope for many, a career at McDonald's has now become appealing. In April, the company launched its first ever national hiring day. Nearly one million Americans applied for a job at the fast food chain. Yet only six out of every 100 applicants were hired.
