in riots at Castle Square Demo)
-- note the presence of SPD, the German Social Democrats), the planned "Salute Israel Day" rally Sunday 5th was cancelled, as the Stuttgart police declared themselves "Unable to guarantee the security" of the participants. To those sympathetic with Israel, as well as those concerned with civil liberties and the rule of law, this is a worrysome development, in particular in a country where the National Socialists ravaged the country merely some 80 years ago.
For those present on Thursday the 2nd, the problems were quite visible. A left-wing amalgam of the German Social Democrats (SPD www.spd.de), Antifa (www.antifa.de), Die Linke (die-linke.de), Labour Unions and communists (DKP, www.dkp.de) had mobilized several hundred to prevent Bürgerbewegung Pax Europa (www.buergerbewegung-pax-europa.de) and Politically Incorrect (www.pi-news.org) to host their planned speeches, music performances and other activities in Stuttgart Castle Square (www.buergerbewegung-pax-europa.de/veranst/detail.php?vid=67). 25 were lightly wounded at the clashes. Further, the car used to transport in the stage and equipment was torched the following night, causing damages at a value of € 50,000.
Now, one may wonder what exactly makes the message to be presented on Sunday so unacceptable that the left resorted to street violence in order to prevent it from reaching the intended audience. Therefore Caroline Rausch, a Jewish convert to Christianity, has recorded the speech she intended to deliver at the "Salute to Israel" rally cancelled due to the clashes on Thursday.
Watch for yourself, and try figuring out exactly what makes this so reprehensible to the Left that they resort to street violence in order for it not to be heard.
