Northern, central Israel at risk of flooding




Heavy rain continues to hit country; 120cm of snow falls in lower Hermon; wind gusts, rain expected to weaken by afternoon.

Rain continued to fall in northern and central Israel Monday morning, and thunderstorms accompanied by wind gusts of 80 kph were expected until the afternoon.

The national weather service warned Monday of floods and lightning in the Jordan Valley, the Judean Desert and Mount Carmel.
